SUMMARY:Algorithms for Dementia Imaging
DESCRIPTION:UEMS EACCME has granted the accreditation of 7 CME credits for this event. \n\n\n\nThe course will offer a comprehensive overview of basic\, theoretical and practical evidence-based concepts needed for a deep and thoughtful understanding of the use of [¹⁸F]FDG (FDG) Brain PET\, amyloid (Amy) PET and DaT SPECT in Neurological Disorders. A brief introduction will be given on the position that each imaging technique holds in the recent European intersocietal recommendations for the biomarker-based diagnosis of neurocognitive disorders. Then\, short theoretical sessions on visual reading and semiquantification of FDG PET\, Amy PET and DaT SPECT will be associated with longer hands-on sessions\, for a practice-oriented learning specifically addressed to dementing disorders and neurodegenerative parkinsonian syndromes. Different approaches for semiquantification and subsequent scan reporting will be proposed and discussed. Clinical cases will be the starting point to better define the usefulness\, utility and accurate reading of PET and SPECT in Alzheimer’s disease\, other neurodegenerative dementias and Parkinsonian Syndrome.n coming soon \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSave yourself a seatRegistration closed. SUMMARY:Role of FDG-PET in Paediatric Hodgkin and Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas
DESCRIPTION:UEMS EACCME has granted the accreditation of 8 CME credits for this event. \n\n\n\nA large oncological framework will be the topic of the first session: three lectures by a high quoted Paediatric Oncologist: epidemiology\, aetiological factors\, and general classification of Paediatric Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin Lymphomas and main therapeutic strategies and prognostic considerations. The two valuable nuclear medicine experts will discuss the role of molecular imaging in paediatric lymphomas: staging and therapeutic management\, the importance of the imaging-based assessment\, the role of Deauville classification\, prognostic aspects\, surveillance\, and the management of recurrent/treatment resistant forms in PHL and NHL. Current state of experimental tracers research. Future perspectives: novel radiotracers\, evaluation of rare entities and advanced image analysis. \n\n\n\nMany case readings will be presented to the attendees to train them in interpreting and concluding 18FDG in the crucial assessment point into diagnostic- therapeutic PHL and NHL protocols. \n\n\n\nEach attendee is also asked to present a personal tricky case\, proposed to the experts and to the other attendees. This allows better communication among the attendees and a more interactive practical session. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSave yourself a seatThe registration is closed. SUMMARY:Quantitative Nuclear Medicine Imaging
DESCRIPTION:UEMS EACCME has granted the accreditation of 10.5 CME credits for this event. \n\n\n\nNuclear medicine is a quantitative imaging modality. However\, its power and its vulnerabilities are not always appreciated. \n\n\n\nIn this course\, we will explore the formation of SPECT/CT and PET/CT imaging\, and how\, with corrections they can provide us with quantitative imaging biomarkers. We will look at different forms of quantification from kinetic modelling to activity concentration to SUV and explain how they can be used in a clinical environment. Finally\, we will look at how scanner developments\, software developments and Artificial Intelligence is influencing our field. In this course formal lectures will be supplemented with practical sessions and open discussions about Quantification in Nuclear Medicine. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe course is sold outPlease contact esmit@eanm.org to get on the wait list.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearning Objectives\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTarget Audience\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nUnderstand the technical principles\,\n\n\n\ntheir potential limitations\,\n\n\n\nand the impact on the reading process of SPECT and PET quantification.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe would encourage physicists\, technically oriented technologists and nuclear medicine MDs with an already good background in nuclear imaging methods to apply for this course.List item\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProgrammeClick to see the Preliminary Programme.
