Quantitative Nuclear Medicine Imaging

Future Health Lab Alfred-Adler-Straße 1, Vienna, Austria

Nuclear medicine is a quantitative imaging modality. However, its power and its vulnerabilities are not always appreciated. In this course, we will explore the formation of SPECT/CT and PET/CT imaging, and how, with corrections they can provide us with quantitative imaging biomarkers. We will look at different forms of quantification from kinetic modelling to activity concentration to SUV and explain how they can be used in a clinical environment. Finally, we will look at how scanner developments, software developments and Artificial Intelligence is influencing our field. In this course formal lectures will be supplemented with practical sessions and open discussions about Quantification in Nuclear Medicine.
