SUMMARY:Algorithms for Dementia Imaging
DESCRIPTION:UEMS EACCME has granted the accreditation of 7 CME credits for this event. \n\n\n\nThe course will offer a comprehensive overview of basic\, theoretical and practical evidence-based concepts needed for a deep and thoughtful understanding of the use of [¹⁸F]FDG (FDG) Brain PET\, amyloid (Amy) PET and DaT SPECT in Neurological Disorders. A brief introduction will be given on the position that each imaging technique holds in the recent European intersocietal recommendations for the biomarker-based diagnosis of neurocognitive disorders. Then\, short theoretical sessions on visual reading and semiquantification of FDG PET\, Amy PET and DaT SPECT will be associated with longer hands-on sessions\, for a practice-oriented learning specifically addressed to dementing disorders and neurodegenerative parkinsonian syndromes. Different approaches for semiquantification and subsequent scan reporting will be proposed and discussed. Clinical cases will be the starting point to better define the usefulness\, utility and accurate reading of PET and SPECT in Alzheimer’s disease\, other neurodegenerative dementias and Parkinsonian Syndrome.n coming soon \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSave yourself a seatRegistration closed. For last minute registration\, please email us at esmit@eanm.org Register now!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearning Objectives\n\n\n\n\n\nTo familiarise with the neuroimaging tools available to objectively assess brain glucose metabolism\, amyloid deposition and dopaminergic system integrity\, and their position in recent European recommendations \n\n\n\nTo learn strengths and weaknesses of different approaches for semiquantification \n\n\n\nTo appropriately choose a semi-quantitative support for image interpretation in various conditions\n\n\n\nThe course will provide important information on the most recent developments for an improved clinical practice\, of utmost importance for nuclear medicine physicians.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTarget Audience\n\n\n\n\n\nGeneral nuclear medicine specialists\, radiologists who want to update their knowledge on reading\, semiquantification and reporting of FDG PET\, Amy PET and DaT SPECT in terms of clinical indications\, reading skills and pitfalls. The constantly evolving role of Brain PET in neurodegenerative disorders makes the track of interest also for neurologists who want to improve their knowledge of cutting-edge Neuroimaging tools.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFaculty\n\n\n\n\n\nValentina BertiSpeakerFlorence\, Italy \n\n\n\n\n\nIgor YakushevSpeakerMunich\, Germany \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration Details\n\n\n\nRegistration FeeMode of PaymentCancellation Policy\n\nCourse Fee               € 950.- \n\n\n\nRegistration Fee includes: \n\n\n\n\nElectronic Course Book\, including all Slides\n\n\n\nCoffee & Lunch Breaks on each Course Day\n\n\n\n\nRegistration Fee does NOT include: \n\n\n\n\nTravel to the Venue\n\n\n\nAccommodation\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration fees need to be paid 1 week prior to the event.
